New Year, New Diva - Ke$ha



A new decade, another new female pop diva. Her debut album "Animal" in large part thanks to the smash single, "TiK ToK," now up to 2 million downloads and climbing—hit retail this week and looks set to battle her polar opposite, Susan Boyle’s "I Dreamed a Dream," for #1 on next week’s HITS Top 50, with a total between 105-115k. That is based on one-day sales (Tuesday). The only other debut of note is Idol alum Katherine McPhee’s sophomore effort and Verve Forecast debut, Unbroken, which sees her as a blonde, targeted for between 13-15k.

Animal - Ke$ha [Web-rip Album]

Newcomer Ke$ha's debut album has been circulating the web for a couple days now. While many are patiently waiting for a Retail rip it still has yet to leak. Ke$ha currently holds the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 with her first single "Tik Tok." As for the album she is out to prove she is much more then just a one hit wonder. Her first effort provides us with many fun uptempo pop tracks with insanely catchy hooks. I think she knows she can be quite ridiculous at times and makes it much easier to listen to her lyrics and just have fun listening to the album. Having writing credits on every song is also good to see. It's a young, fun, and upbeat album filled with radio ready tracks. It will be interseting to see where she goes from here. Personally, we can't wait to hear more upcoming tracks from Ke$ha. Her current single "Tik Tok" is #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Debut album will be out Jan the 5th.
